Set up in 1937, Chongqing Battery General Factory is a multiple, battery manufacturer,producing various kinds of dry cells and storage batteries as well as battery spare parts, fittings and raw materials. The factory also deals with nonferrous metal melting and rolling.

     The address of the factory's annual output of various dry cells is 200 million pieces and of storage batteries is 1 million pieces.The factory owns 63.5 million yuan original fixed capital and 55.21 million yuan net fixed capital, with 15 battery production lines, 30 sets of zinc can pressing & punching equipments and 1 zine can continuously casting and rolling line. There are 2100 employees in the factory, among which are 210 engineering and technical personnel.
